Horror movies are known to be very big during the fall season as the cold air grows colder and Halloween grows closer. Horror movies have had a hold on people, arguably since the Texas chainsaw massacre in 1974, directed by Tobe Hooper. These kinds of movies have since grown to be more terrifying and captivating.

Annabelle- set in the 1960s, a young couple is tormented by a demonic presence after acquiring a seemingly harmless doll that seeks to claim their souls. The Conjuring- Paranormal investigators Ed and Loraine Warren help the Perron family confront a malevolent spirit haunting their newly bought farmhouse. Annabelle Comes Home- after the Warrens lock Annabelle in their Artifact room, the doll awakens other spirits, endangering their daughter and her babysitters. The Curse of La Llorona- a social worker and her children are haunted by La Llorona, a vengeful spirit from Mexican folklore. The Conjuring 2- Ed and Lorraine Warren travel overseas to aid a family besieged by an aggressive spirit leading them to confront a demon. The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It- Ed and Loraine Warren investigate a murder suspect’s claim to be under the influence of demonic possession, facing dark forces tied to a deadly curse. The Nun II- Sister Irene faces a demonic force that has been terrorizing a boarding school in France, leaving a trail of death across Europe.
