Thanksgiving is the time of year for gathering around with loved ones, showing our gratitude for what we have, and sharing a great meal full of delicious food. Although some traditions do vary for certain families, some dishes are carried throughout. So whether you are hosting or cooking the meal or just looking forward to it, here are some of the best Thanksgiving foods:
- Mac N’ Cheese- This is my personal favorite and I’ve heard so many people say the same including another journalism student, Steven Fuller, who states Mac N’ Cheese is, “Just better.” One of the best comfort foods, you could never go wrong with some Mac N’ Cheese.
- Mashed Potatoes- I don’t think there’s anyone who could genuinely hate mashed potatoes on Thanksgiving. Whether it’s with gravy or not these are some of the top-rated Thanksgiving foods as of right now
- Stuffing- Not many people I know like this but it is a classic when it comes to Thanksgiving dinners. Stuffing is overlooked but is one of the most flavorful dishes.
- Turkey- Now I know I may sound wild for putting this dish so close to the bottom but I feel there are many way better things to eat on Thanksgiving. Turkeys are complicated and one of the hardest to cook,
- .Pie- It honestly doesn’t even matter what kind of pie it is but pie is one of the favorites to have on Thanksgiving. Whether warm with a scoop of ice cream or cold with a spoonful of whipped cream, pie just provides the best amount of comfort after a big meal.
In the end, no matter the dish, it’s the food that brings the people together turning this delicious meal into a memorable and beautiful celebration.
