Meet Algebra Teacher Ms. Loker

There are a lot of amazing math teachers here at Agua Fria. Whether it’s trigonometry, AP Calculus, or even college Algebra, there are a variety of teachers dedicated to making sure you know what’s going on.

One of those amazing teachers is Ms. Loker. After growing up in Arizona, Loker attended the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington and graduated in 2012. She currently teaches Algebra I, but has taught honors Algebra as well as honors Algebra II.

“[Math] is a really important subject,” Ms. Loker said. She decided to teach math because it is a subject students need to master.

Ms. Loker has a positive, flexible attitude in class. However, she does find it challenging to teach so many students and give them all her undivided attention.

“I wish I could give each student more individual attention,” Ms. Loker said.

When questioned on what it means to #BeAnOwl, Ms. Loker listed many admirable qualities, such as honor, integrity, and school spirit. She also highlighted that Owls need to keep a positive attitude and wear a lot of red!

As a past student of Ms. Loker’s, I can tell you that she will make the best of your math experience.
