I was a kid who lived in the dark then came out of the light as a man. My experiences made me the person I am today and is the reason I work so hard. I am at a place in my life where I feel the need to express my creativity and voice to the world. I am Kendall King, a boy from the dark city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who is ready to make a new life in Arizona.

I am the type of person that is more or less under the radar more than most other people, but I am ready to break the spell.

I am a 17-year-old boy born April 20, who’s former lifestyle put him in some scary and awkward situations but who is ready to change his life for the better.

Growing up I always wanted to be in the NBA, NFL, or UFC. Sports really drove me my entire life — Kobe, A-Rod Megatron, Bird, MJ, Conner, Jon Jones — these are people who gave me the dream that a small-town kid can make it big!

Of course, I love music, art, books, fashion, and movies, especially my favorite Toy Story 2. I love all types of music. I don’t discriminate at all — J-cole, Kanye, Lil Uzi, mumble rap, lyrical, R&B, K- POP, I love it all.

As the oldest, I have to play role model for my younger siblings and cousins. I refuse to mess up. It’s not in my blood!

Growing up in a city like Milwaukee it’s eat or be eaten. No one is truly there at all, that’s how I ended up being in such bad situations sometimes. This move to AZ was weird but it was good for me. I have little to no fear in me and I don’t back down. That’s how I am and it’ll never change.

For a while, I thought I had no way out but then I saw a quote that I now live by every day of my life.

“By any means necessary” – Malcolm X.

I realized that now I have to put my all into something I want.

Nevermind all the trial and error. As of now I am the best me I can be. If you are in a dark place, find something or someone who will guide you to the light.
