Makayla Kinion, Opinion Reporter
Kayla Kinion is a 17-year-old Senior who is a newcomer to the journalism program and has been at Agua Fria High School for four years now. Unfortunately, this will be Kayla’s first and last year in journalism because she is a senior. Kayla is a very smart and intelligent student who loves to do her work efficiently while casting her distractions away. She has recently joined the Agua Fria chapter of the National Honors Society, also known as NHS. She has never left Arizona for longer than a week and was born and raised in Arizona. She is very tempted to explore the world and her ancestry due to her confinement in Arizona.
Kayla is very academically inclined instead of how she used to be; she barely cared about her school as she didn’t think she would make it to this point. Despite this, Kayla wants to go to college in Arizona, Tempe (Arizona State University) so she can study civil engineering and architecture. She has grown to be a very knowledgeable and diligent worker/ person who tries her hardest with every obstacle that comes her way. She has even achieved honor roll and has joined the top 10 percent of her graduating class proving she was worthy of being accepted into The Agua Fria Chapter of the National Honor Society. She hopes to close out this final high school chapter in a fashionable manner so she can go to college and go on to create outstanding and world-shaking ideas to change the world. Kayla will undoubtedly be good at anything she does and has a bright future ahead of her.
Kayla is a very passionate and caring person who wants the best for others. She is very family-oriented and even wants to start her own one day. Her family is the main reason she works so hard for her future. She tries to be very selfless to give people someone who can be there for them or just listen to them if they need it. Kayla hopes to make many differences in this world, not just with engineering but also with kindness and empathy.
