The Enemy Within’: Behind The Brains And Brawn
April 20, 2023
The show that’s currently still in production, The Enemy Within’, has a large variety of characters. We have a magical sorcerer, a banished god, a strong genius, a jack of all trades, and a demigod from another reality. These heroes are both loved and hated across the world for their acts of heroism for the days and nights of New York. Here is a deep dive into our favorite brains and brawn, Tyran.
Tyran, also known as Cooper Dent, comes from a wealthy family. He grew up in Manhattan, New York. His father was a scientist who ran Lime Dent Robotics. This company made robots or tried to at least for the people of New York. One day, Cooper went to work with his father. They were testing out an experimental metal suit/exoskeleton for the army. Cooper’s father was heavily inspired by Tony Stark from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Cooper walked by the prototype for the first version of the real Iron Man suit. Cooper is very interested in this prototype and he can’t take his eyes off it. Cooper’s father forgot to tell Cooper not to touch it since it hasn’t been programmed properly yet. Cooper couldn’t contain himself at the sight of a real Iron Man suit, he wanted to feel the metal, but as his hand laid onto the chest piece, the suit activated and tried to attack Cooper. Cooper’s instincts kicked in and he punched the robot, nearly destroying it. This is when he found out he was Radiant, his power is super strength. The reason the suit attacked him in the first place was that it was using a very experimental nano-technology mixed with Artificial Intelligence. This caused the suit to react to Cooper’s touch as an enemy. When Cooper turned 15, his father was killed, and the company was given to him, same with all of his money. Cooper shut the company down and used it for himself. He started making his first editions of his suit but they just weren’t strong enough to withstand the strength of Cooper. Everything he threw a punch, the entire arm would be destroyed. Eventually, Cooper saw on the news a brewing hero team in the making. This interested him and he decided to try and find them to team up. After a month, he met up with Amethyst and Snapper. Amethyst told Cooper that he could upgrade his suit. Amethyst found a very good metal for Cooper to use, he recently discovered Sun Steel. It was perfect, Amethyst helped Coope design his first hero suit. Cooper nicknamed this suit, “Bluey” because of its blue appearance.
This is the birth of the world’s real Iron Man, I am excited to see Tyran’s future suit editions. Though Tyran’s life was given to him on a silver platter, he still struggles with everyday things just like everyone else. I hope to see Tyran’s growth throughout The Enemy Within’.
