As many people know, shoes are a big part of our lives. We wear shoes to do day to day activities like going to work, going to school, working out, or simply completing your outfit. Big name brands have created a name for themselves involving shoes like Nike, Adidas, New Balance, etc. Each year these brands bring out new shoes revolving around the holiday of that time. Our current holiday is the holiday of love… Valentine’s Day. And Nike specifically came out with a bunch of new releases regarding the special day. There were a variety of Air Force 1’s, Nike Dunk lows, Air Maxes, and Cortez’s that had been released to the public.
Our first pair starting off is the Nike Dunk lows, ‘Soulmates’. This first pair is a very loud and vibrant shoe. It is all red with a corduroy-like material as the main material for the entire shoe. The Nike swoosh on both sides of the shoe is a fuzzy like material and is all white. On the back of the shoe, the words ‘NIKE’ are stitched in red as well, matching the entire shoe. Another nice detail Nike added was the bag tag on the back of the shoe. It reads “ To:You A red heart : The Nike logo”. The final addition they added to the shoe itself is on the Tongue there is a heart with the works Nike as well as the logo. These shoes are a great and vibrant shoe to have during Valentine’s Day. These shoes are reselling currently for $108 and are only available in kids sizes. This is a great shoe to give to someone you love and a great shoe to have in the collection.
The second shoe is the Air Force 1 Lows, ‘Valentine’s Day 2024’. These shoes are a super cool pair of forces to have and really matched the theme of Valentine’s Day. These are a two color shoe, white and maroon. The majority of this shoe is a cream white contrasting well with the accented maroon that is located on the soul of the shoe, the Nike swoosh, the inner fabric, and partially on the back. A nice detail Nike added to this shoe is the Nike swoosh. On the outsides of the shoe the Nike swoosh is clear and popped out and on the inside of the swoosh, there are mini heart sequences. That is a super unique feature for a shoe to have. Not only does the swoosh have its own uniqueness, the laces of the shoes have star, flower, and heart charms being both pink and red. The tongue of the shoe is a flower with a brown Nike swoosh in it and that same flower is located on the back of the shoe as well. The last and final feature of this shoe is the soul of the shoe and it has a pink glitter finish to it. These forces are reselling for
$126 dollars and are a women’s shoe, these are another great pair to have as an everyday shoe.
The last and final shoe coming from the same collection, ‘Valentine’s Day 2024’ are the Nike Cortez’s. These shoes are one of my personal favorites, overall just being a simple yet unique shoe. These shoes have two solid colors being cream and maroon. They are the same design as a normal Nike Cortez. Majority of the body is cream but the Nike swoosh, back tag and the foam on the bottom of the shoe are maroon. On the back of the shoe Nike put a pink heart with maroon Nike swoosh that fits the shoe really nicely. The tongue of the shoe is white with that same maroon color for the words Nike and the swoosh. A nice detail added onto the tongue is there are cherries shaped like hearts that look really nice on the tongue. The last and final thing that brings the shoe together is the charm on the bottom of the laces. It is the same colorway as the one in the back, a heart with the Nike swoosh on it and it brings the shoe together really nicely. These shoes are womens again and are reselling for $108 dollars.
There were so many more drops for this year’s Valentine’s Day collection. These three shoes were the ones that got most of the attention but every shoe in this collection was unique in its own way. These shoes are a fire statement piece or just a nice everyday shoe!
