The United States Basketball team has done it again. It has been four years since our National Basketball team won a gold medal. This was a team full of NBA superstars, who have gained respect from the NBA but are now looking to seek more on a worldwide level. They completely dominated all the other national teams and showed they had zero competition in the Olympics. Their dominating roster consisted of Bam Adebayo, Devin Booker, Stephen Curry, Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, Anthony Edwards, Joel Embiid, Tyrese Haliburton, Jrue Holiday, Lebron James, Jayson Tatum, and Derrick White. Not only did Team USA have dominating players, but they also had outstanding defensive and offensive plays from the coaches who thought of them all from the beginning. Their coaches were none other than former NBA star Steve Kerr a.k.a Dubs (Head Coach), Mark Few (Assistant Coach), Tyronn Lue who is the Former Cleveland Cavalier head Coach and Head Coach for Los Angeles Clippers right now (Assistant Coach), and finally Erik Spoelstra (Assistant Coach) who is Head Coach for the Miami Heat.
With these NBA stars of players and outstanding coaches with amazing plays, their skills and prowess reach the sky. However, the outstanding offensive and defensive plays weren’t the only things that helped the players through the games of underestimated national teams trying to defend their titles of “The Best”. Their in-game rituals sent the crowd bursting with screams as they knew everything would be over for the opposing teams the current NBA stars didn’t come to the Olympics to simply waste time, they came to win the whole thing. These chants helped boost the egos and overall stats of these NBA stars creating some “Mamba Mentality”. Though these chants boosted the NBA stars, there was one among them all who carried the team as a leader who ensured victory even when his teammates thought they were done for, he would always rise to the top with teammates behind his back.
This NBA star is no other than “King James”, with his outstanding passing, rebounding, scoring, and even blocking no one can stop this man as he has reached the hearts of his fans spreading his message of being a leader even when everything is going South, you have to keep fighting no matter what. Overall the whole U.S Olympic Basketball team was very successful in gaining the gold medal because they not only had Lebron James but they had each other’s backs throughout the whole thing. Everyone was committed coaches and all.
