The Conjuring explores the scary and horrific experiences through paranormal investigations throughout the movie. In 2013, the first movie ever The Conjuring was first released, this movie was based on true events where the Perron family, a family of 5 had recently moved to their new home. The family of 5 was all very excited and happy since they had now settled into their new home. There was a bit of a problem throughout the start when they had first moved into their home, the family didn’t expect anything bad from their new house, except for the dog. The family had a dog named “Sadie”, when they got there and when it was time for bedtime, Sadie refused to go back inside with her family, Roger, who was the dad to the girls and husband to Carolyn saw that Sadie did not want to go inside their house which was unusual behavior. Roger didn’t think about it as he discussed it with his wife Carolyn. 

As they were still getting settled for bed and organizing everything. The girls, Andrea, Nancy, Christine, and April were all playing a game around their house trying to find each other. The girls do come across an attic located under stairs, Roger opens the door and seems; to find several items being stored there for quite a while. The family has been unaware of how much the spirits were triggered since the family discovered that attic. 

While this family is sleeping, the mother suffers from having many bruises all around her body. Cindy would constantly be sleepwalking towards the closet, and while the girls were sleeping, their sheets would sometimes be pulled away from them. Roger did start getting concerned for his family and his wife, so he decided to tell Carolyn to go to the doctor. Things began escalating very quickly they were seeing the unfit activities that the spirits were doing and were all awfully terrified by the activities. 

Carolyn did come across Ed and Loraine Warren, so she decided to come up to them and explain to them what has been going on at their house ever since they moved in. Ed and Loraine did seem to be very shocked over what was going on, Carolyn asked the two if they were able to help and go take a look at their house. Ed and Loraine arrived at the Perron’s house and took a look all around the house. Loraine did come across a toy that April would also interact and play with. The married couple and their crew decided to install thermal cameras and sensors all around the house to capture any movement that was going on. 

Throughout the night, there was a lot of active activity going on, and every sensor was going off that would trigger the camera to take pictures. The couple did find out that this house was haunted by the previous owner who was the witch, Bathsheba. Bathsheba was a witch who sacrificed her child who was a week old. After that, she decided to give herself to the devil and then committed suicide. 

Fast forward to the investigation and the paranormal activities going on, Ed and Loraine, as well as the Perron family suffered from much damage that the bad spirits were doing, at some point the witch ended up possessing Carolyn, making her want to come after for one of her children who was April that was also trapped. Ed and Loraine did have to provide their exorcism while Carolyn was uncontrollably possessed. There was also Roger and a cop who were there during the exorcism to help out with what was going on. The exorcism ended up working out due to Loraine yelling at Carolyn by telling her not to commit as she was going to do. Shortly after, the family was reunited again.  

The Perron family decided to stay at the house for another 10 years due to fluctuations in finances. The spirit activities did eventually come to an end and the family is still thriving until this day.
