The recent wildfires in California have been causing major damage to the community all over the state. As we start the new year of 2025, California is unfortunately experiencing terrible natural disasters due to the wildfires in the state.
California has always been known for its beautiful green landscape and beautiful tourist areas throughout the state. However, the fires have drastically changed the landscape and its beauty. The wildfires started on January 7th, 2025, during the first week of the new year. Many people are wondering what the initial cause of the fire was, and until this recent week, the cause has not been determined. The probable cause of why the fire started could be due to the amount of human pollution there can be around the environment since it is a vast state.
More than 40,000 acres have unfortunately been burned due to the fire. Houses and businesses are also burning down, more than 12,000 homes and businesses have been destroyed. The government did order an evacuation in the Palisades, residents have left everything behind, leaving core wholesome memories behind creating a sorrowful time for the state of California.
After the challenges that all families have been facing during these tough times in California, children are also struggling with going to school due to schools also burning down. Students on the Palisades side of California have recently moved to different school locations. CNN News has reported that Palisades Charter Elementary School has been forced to Bentonwood Elementary, Students at Marquez Charter Elementary have been transferred 10 miles to Norra Sterry Elementary School.
