Last year was quite a year. It was filled with some fights, elections for the presidency, the first female president in Mexico, the Olympics, and even a Solar Eclipse. Last year was quite a year filled with events of all sorts of levels and it was a blast. Beginning with the new year, it has started to look very very rough in many ways. On the very first day of the year, a man tried bombing the Trump Tower with a Tesla Cyber Truck and it caused one death and 7 injuries to the people nearby. This led to a very wobbly start in peoples’ days and was just sad to see someone do something so horrible on the first day of the year. In addition to this topic, the L.A. fires that have been spreading are dangerous and have caused hundreds and thousands of residents of the area to flee for safety many of which have lost their homes and lives due to the degree of fires. Two main ones are burning, the first being the Palisades fire and the second being the Eaton fire. Both of which have burned roughly 14,800 structures to burn to the ground. Also, more than 60 square miles have been burned and 27 people have been killed from this. The fire so far is not contained at all and firefighters from all nearby states and even Mexico have been sent to help aid in this tragic fire. The state had previously cut the funding for firefighters in roughly half, also causing a delay with the control of the fire. Overall much death and destruction has happened so far within these few weeks of the new year and hopefully, it will all end and we can go back to having a good year overall.
