With the NFL season coming to an end the final game is the biggest one of all. The Super Bowl has millions upon millions of viewers each year whether it’s paying a premium price to get a seat at the big game or watching it live from the comfort of their couch. This year’s matchup is between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs. Going into the game the Chiefs have won the last two Super Bowls and are looking to extend that and make history with a 3-peat proving that this dynasty is one of the best in all of professional sports.
Starting the game the Eagles moved the ball slowly punting it to the powerful Kansas City offense very quickly. Kansas City did the same thing and punted it right back to the Eagles and the Eagles took advantage of this with some good big plays leading to a 1-yard run from Jalen Hurts on their famous “Tush Push”. The Eagles were now leading the game 7-0 and it remained this way through the rest of the first quarter. Both offenses were moving slowly after this with much more Kansas City punts and an Eagles interception. The Eagles did a little something making a field goal putting them up 10-0 and continued this streak with a defensive score from young star Cooper DeJean with a pick six putting the Eagles up big 17-0 against the defending champions. The Chiefs offense was still struggling a lot and was getting beat by the big Philadelphia Eagles defensive line giving star QB Patrick Mahomes little to no time to get something for his team going. The Eagles again scored another touchdown making it to where this game was getting out of hand with a 24-0 score at halftime.
Coming out of the long-winded halftime show the Eagles immediately got back to work on both sides of the ball and we’re showing zero signs of weakness or slowing down. They quickly scored and made a field goal to put them up in this game 27-0. With another punt and a turnover on downs, the game got even more out of hand because the Eagles took advantage of it and scored yet another touchdown putting them up by a big score of 34-0. The Chiefs didn’t look like they had any chance of coming back from this deficit but were fighting for any sense of dignity by at least putting a few points of their own on the board. This didn’t happen and the Eagles continued to put points on the board with a field goal making it a 37-0 game in the fourth quarter. The Chiefs got some energy of their own, scoring a touchdown in which they missed the extra point, putting it to a 37-6 game. The Eagles began to take their starters out and still went down to make another field goal but the Chiefs responded with a touchdown and 2-point conversion making it 40-14. The Chiefs again scored another touchdown and got the two-point conversion putting the score at 40-22 which ended up being the final score of this long-winded blowout of a Super Bowl.
The Chiefs reign was over and was finally overcome by the Philadelphia Eagles after two seasons of being world champions so now the Eagles are going into the 2025-2026 season defending champions looking to capitalize on it hopefully winning another world title. The entire city of Philadelphia was full of excitement seeing their team bring home another Super Bowl victory and this powerhouse team has no sign of stopping anytime soon.
