Lauren Dominiguez Felix, Lifestyle Editor
Rare in life you meet people you know you’d want to have an ongoing friendship with. It’s hard to find the types of people who you can call for any kind of situation, stay comfortable with, and always want to be around. Lauren Dominguez Felix is one of the people. Sweet, kind, and smarter than she thinks, she’s a whole package deal and anyone who knows her is lucky.
This year, Lauren is a senior, enjoying her last year of high school and having as much fun as possible. Lauren is also a returning journalism student, a lifestyle reporter, and a lifestyle editor. Lauren has many hobbies including off-roading, doing her makeup, hanging out with friends, going out to eat, seeing new places, and discovering new things.
One thing Lauren mentioned a lot is that she’s looking forward to a lot of stuff this year but also dreading some things. Lauren said she’s looking forward to making more memories because it’s her last year at school and being around her friends but she’s also sad about having to leave her favorite teachers and her closest friends. One other thing I asked was what motivates Lauren to keep going and her answers were, “My mom, my best friend, and myself, who have been there during rough times and never let me down.” Lauren says they are the reason she keeps going every day. I also asked Lauren how she would describe herself and she said,” I feel like I can describe myself as being very caring, confident, and very encouraging.” Lauren is one of those people who you know you can always rely on. Lauren also said, “I am also very sensitive when it comes to people I love and care about.” One of our close friends Zoe also added to this saying, “Lauren is really sweet and caring and always keeps it real.” Lauren is the type of person who will always be there for you no matter what, with a hug and a joke to make you laugh.
The last thing I asked Lauren was for advice for anyone including upcoming seniors and new students in general and she said,” Focus on your grades, be yourself, make memories, and have fun!!!” The last piece of advice Lauren gave was to have plans and goals for yourself. She has many plans for herself including going to college to be an ultrasound technician or a pediatrician. Her top two college preferences right now are ASU if not then UOA. Although she’s one of my favorite people to be around and I will miss her so much, I can’t wait to see what she goes on to and makes of herself after high school.
