Your Agua Fria National Honor Society needs your support! This weekend October 8, 2016, is the annual Relay For Life. Relay For Life is an event sponsored by the American Cancer Society. Relay allows the community to come together to honor cancer survivors and loved ones who we have lost to cancer, as well as fight back against the disease that has already taken way too much!

screenshot_2016-10-04-13-43-00-1The funds that we raise will change the lives of the millions of cancer survivors who will celebrate another birthday this year. Relay For Life will be held at Goodyear Ballpark this year, and will be tons of fun! They are always looking for volunteers or participants, and you can sign up today. The event runs from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

What to expect going to Relay For Life? There will be participants who will be staying the whole night but, that is not required. You can participate for a few hours even. Relay begins with an opening ceremony, and continues with a survivor lap, a caregiver lap, an opening lap, an individual walk, and a fighting back lap. Someone in your group should be walking the whole night but it is encouraged to have someone switching roles on the track at all times.

Agua Fria National Honor Society has a team account that you can donate to, and anything will help! Come out and experience this amazing opportunity with us!
