Earlier this month we finally got our long-awaited look at the newest Star Wars movie, Solo: A Star Wars Story, which is set to release May 25th, 2018.
The reason that it took so long to get this fairly short trailer was that, mid-production is because they had to switch directors. Phil Lord and Chris Miller from the LEGO movie were set for this film but they were replaced by veteran director Ron Howard, who you may know from Apollo 13 or A Beautiful Mind.
We started off our week by getting a teaser during the Super Bowl, which showed the base of the story: a young Han Solo played by Alden Ehrenreich wanting to be a pilot at any cost, even if that means being an Imperial pilot, going on adventures with/meeting Chewbacca, and hanging out with his pal Lando Calrissian, played by Donald Glover A.K.A. Childish Gambino.
The very next morning we got a look at the trailer. This trailer had some shots from the teaser from the previous day but it definitely delivered on the new content. It showed us a little more of the story but not the entire plot. The most we got was Woody Harrelson’s character, Tobias Beckett, telling Han Solo that he is putting a crew together and then some nice shots of a train.

Later that same day, we were also gifted with 4 seperate posters for Solo, Lando, Chewie, and Emilia Clarke’s character, Qi’ra.
