The award amount hasn’t been determined yet.

If you prove that you have money saved in a bank or savings account, you will receive a matching amount of up to $500. Students’ savings amount will be verified by a local financial institution before officially awarded and will be used to assist with the cost of their future institution of education. The deadline is Thursday April 19th, 2018.
  • Sam Garcia Scholarship: The Sam Garcia Scholarship Fund was created to provide financial support to those among our community’s children pursuing higher education. Scholarships will be given to ambitious students who demonstrate a strong commitment to academic excellence and, in the spirit of Sam Garcia Sr., community service. In order to apply, you must submit a photo of yourself and write an essay introducing yourself. In this essay, you must write about your need for financial aid, your goals in life, and your concern for your community. Official high school transcripts are required. A cover letter is also required. There will be multiple scholarships worth $1,000 awarded. The deadline is on Thursday, April 19th, 2018.
