Top Ten Halloween Candies

Did you know that about 600 million pounds of candy is sold for halloween in the U.S almost every year? All kinds of candy is sold all over, but there are some more popular than others. With Halloween over and all of the pillowcases and jack o’lanterns filled, here is the top 10 halloween candies to date.

  1. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups – This chocolate cup filled with peanut butter has been an American favorite for quite some time. About 500 million dollars worth of reese’s are made each year. Clearly people must like them.
  2. Snickers – This chocolaty treat has peanuts and caramel. It is such a great combination. About 15 million of these chocolate bars, formerly known as the Marathon Bars, are made each day. That’s nuts!
  3. Twix –  The real trick is figuring out which side you’re on. Left Twix, where the cookie and caramel is layered in chocolate? Or Right Twix, where its cloaked? Does anyone know the difference?
  4. Kit Kat – This chocolate cookie layered snack is another Halloween favorite. We just can’t take a break!
  5. M&M – These colorful snacks come in so many different flavors and types. No matter what you’re in the mood for, M&M’s have something for you.
  6. Nerds – These tiny balls of sugar come in a pocket sized box. Just because they’re small doesn’t mean they can’t be great!
  7. Butterfingers – These crunchy buttery bars may not be high on this list but they are still an american Halloween favorite.
  8. Sour Patch Kids – Sweet and Sour in one bite! These snacks are starting to make a huge come back with the younger generation of trick or treaters.
  9. Skittles – When it comes to these fruity chews the world has different views, but skittles have new flavors for everyone.
