Introducing you all to Bella Tarzia, a 17-year-old senior at Agua Fria. Bella was born on April 2nd, 2003. She’s been going to Agua Fria all four of her high school years.

Bella played volleyball for both Agua Fria and her outside of the school club team. She played here at Agua Fria for her freshman, sophomore and junior year.

She is currently in her third semester and her second year of taking journalism. She is taking this class to help make a career of her writing. Her dream job is to be a writer for one of the biggest newspapers in the country. “I have a passion for writing and journalism and my ultimate dream would be to write for The New York Times,” said Bella.

Bella keeps her schedule busy with her school and her job. She is currently working at a coffee shop called Black Rock Coffee Bar. From school, she heads on to Black Rock Coffee to start her shifts most days of the week.

As of right now, Bella’s favorite artist is Ella Mai and her favorite song is called “Whatchamacallit.” Ella Mai is a female artist who came up in February of 2018 with her hit single “Boo’d Up,” which peaked at number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 in July of 2018.

Through this difficult time and this global pandemic, online learning can be hard.“Virtual learning was difficult but I got comfortable with it,” Bella said.

After high school Bella would like to travel. “I’d love to travel to Italy since my family is from there and I’d love to visit Europe,” she said.

After high school, she would also like to go to college to study to become a journalist. From there she hopes to make a career out of writing. Bella is not exactly sure of what college she would like to attend, “but ASU’s Cronkite School of Journalism is a top contender.” This would be a great school for Bella to attend to reach her goals.

Bella is very family-oriented. She often enjoys spending time with her family. She has a half-sister who lives in Boston, Massachusetts. She describes her sister as her best friend, also as very helpful and kind. Her sister is 28 years old. “She’s one of the most hard-working and strong women I know,” Bella said.
