The 16-year-old sophomore is a first year journalism student with the position of lifestyle reporter at OwlFeed. What brings Franklin into this journalism class? ‘‘I wanted a more challenging and fun class to expand my writing skills,” he said.

Born and raised in Arizona, Franklin wants to complete his path in school by going to a university and wants to study biology and architecture.

“In his free time, Franklin listens to music. His favorite genre is rap. He listens to different artists such as Lil Uzi, Polo G, Juice World and Lil Tjay. His favorite is Polo G and his favorite song is called 2020 by Lil Tjay.On his days off from school, Franklin has many different hobbies. He likes to sketch drawings, play video games and play sports such as football and basketball. His favorite teams are the Ravens and the Nets, respectively.

“All these news stories I’ve seen I felt that I could publish one someday and I want to go for it,” he said when asked where he gets all of his inspiration.

The most significant moment of his life was passing eighth grade, which was something big for him because school can be a little tough. But you have to push through to succeed and that’s what Franklin did and he achieved one of his many goals.

Franklin said he had a great childhood growing up, being active and hanging with friends. “I’d go back if I could,” he said.

Franklin says that his mom has had a very big impact on him and his life. “She has always taken care of me,” he said. He added that she was a loving and caring person and she was there for him through everything, no matter the circumstances.

Franklin is also a kind, caring person who cares about the youth and he has advice for them. “My advice is to stay focused and be prepared and organized,” he said, adding that these are the key things of having a good four years in high school.

So don’t get confused because he is a quiet person. He also has a fun, chill and funny side to him so you should get to know Franklin so maybe you can have a laugh.
