Deftones, a nu-metal band that started in 1988 and is continuously touring through 2022 is an incredible band, this band has made some popular songs. Some of their most streamed songs currently are Change (In the House of Flies), My Own Summer (Shove it), and Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away). Although some of the most liked albums are White Pony, and Around the Fur, based on personal opinions the best albums are Diamond Eyes, Saturday Night Wrist, Adrenaline, Koi no Yokan, then lastly their self titled album.

Starting off with the album Diamond Eyes, it was their sixth studio album and was released on May 4th, 2010. Songs featured on this album are Royal, Beauty School, Prince, Risk, This Place is Death, CMND/CTRL, and 976-EVIL. This album also features singles such as Diamond Eyes, Rocket Skates, You’ve Seen the Butcher, and Sextape. Originally Diamond eyes wasn’t going to be their sixth album but one titled Eros was supposed to be. It wasn’t finished because their original bassist Chi Cheng had unfortunately passed away in April 2013 due to a sudden cardiac arrest. Chi Cheng was replaced by bassist Sergio Vega but left the band because he had seen some issues with his contract.

Moving onto Saturday Night Wrist, this was their 5th studio album and was released on October 31st, 2006. Songs featured on this album are Rapture, Beware, Xerces, Combat, Pink Cellphone, Rivière, Kimdracula, Rats!Rats!Rats!, U, U,D, D, L, R, L, R, A, B, Select, Start, and Cherry Waves. This album produced 2 singles, Hole in the Earth and Mein. This album was also their last album with bassist Chi Cheng before he passed.

Next up is their debut album Adrenaline, released on October 3rd, 1995, This album features the songs Minus Blindfold, One Weak, Nosebleed, Lifter, Root, Birthmark, Engine No. 9, Fireal, and Fist. This album produced singles 7 words and Bored, Chino actually wrote 7 words when he was 16. In an article from www.deftonesworld.com, he states,  It’s probably one of the angriest songs I’ve ever written. It was about being oppressed by people around me, the authorities, I felt like the whole world was against me. It was like I was lashing out at those people.”

Moving forward one of their more popular albums lately, Koi No Yokan. This was their seventh album and was released on November 12th, 2012, and sold over 65,000 copies in the first week of sales. Songs featured on this album are Poltergeist, Graphic Nature, Entombed, Gauze, Goon Squad, Rosemary, and What happened to You.  Singles featured on this album are Leathers, Tempest, Swerve City, and a personal favorite Romantic Dreams. Fun fact, the title of this album is a phrase in Japanese that means “premonition of love”!

Lastly, their self titled album Deftones, this album was released on May 20th, 2003, and was their fourth album. This album features songs Needles and Pins, Deathblow, Good Morning Beautiful, When Girls Telephone Boys, Battle-Axe, Lucky You, Bloody Cape, Moana, and Anniversary of an Uninteresting Event. Singles featured on this album are Minerva and Hexagram, this album has more diverse genres than their other albums. Initially, this album was going to be called Lovers but didn’t end up happening, in a article it states Chino Moreno considered ‘Lovers’ too obvious in relation to the context of its material (the former title song “Lovers” did appear as an A-side and B-side on the UK “Hexagram” single).
